Community & Service

At the heart of Sam’s work is the belief that empowering others to live joyfully creates lasting change. Her commitment to community, both locally and globally, has driven her to volunteer on the ground with NGOs in Europe, Central Africa, and beyond. From visiting refugee camps to working in rural Rwanda with orphaned youth, Sam has seen firsthand the power of grassroots action and meaningful service.

Sam’s mission goes beyond her personal experiences—she creates opportunities for others to give back through her lifestyle brand, Cafe Namaste, offering volunteer programs for both her community and corporate partners. She has launched initiatives with Chapman Partnership and Green Haven Project, connecting people to causes that inspire positive impact.

Sam’s focus areas: homelessness, education, conservation, and wellness.

Miami Initiatives

A lifelong advocate for nature and education, Sam collaborates with local non-profits to support conservation efforts, food education, and homelessness initiatives. Her love for the outdoors, deepened by time spent on a wildlife reserve in South Africa, is reflected in her Miami-based yoga classes held at The Kampong Botanical Garden, designed to raise awareness for environmental preservation.

Education is another pillar of Sam's mission. She believes in holistic learning as a key to empowerment and partners with organizations like Chapman Partnership to provide volunteer staffing through Cafe Namaste.

International Impact

Before returning to the U.S., Sam spent a year in Rwanda as a fellow at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, where she mentored 16 teenage girls and collaborated with foreign donors and diplomats to further the nonprofit’s mission of educating and empowering over 500 orphaned teens.

Sam remains connected to this cause, organizing donation-based events in South Florida and holding annual yoga fundraisers to honor Rwanda’s history and support the youth village.

In 2025, Sam will lead a tour to Rwanda, offering others a chance to experience the country’s rich culture and engage with local communities.

In 2019, Sam traveled to Colombia with the XOL Foundation, facilitating self-love and yoga workshops for the coffee-growing community in Caldas. Her work there helped spark conversations about wellness and self-empowerment in a region defined by hard work and resilience.
