Love all. Serve all. - Satya Sai Baba

Sam values community and service. At her very core, empowering others to live joyfully drives her work. She has worked with NGOs in Europe and Central Africa, not only raising awareness, but volunteering on location. She has spent time learning from NGO’s around the world; visiting refugee camps, and working in rural Rwanda for a non-profit that empowers orphaned youth.

In addition to her own experiences, she provides learning and volunteer opportunities to her community and corporations looking to elevate or add social responsibility as their company value. Through her lifestyle brand, Cafe Namaste, Sam launched volunteer programs with Chapman Partnership, Green Haven Project, and Health in the Hood to connect and inspire the community.

Sam’s areas of focus include:

  • NATURE & WILDLIFE CONSERVATION

  • FOOD EDUCATION AND NUTRITION

  • HOMELESSNESS

International Initiatives - Rwanda

Prior to moving back to the United States in 2014, Sam was a year-long fellow at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda, a non-profit to educate and empower more than 500 orphaned teens. She was a mentor to 16 teenage girls in addition to working at the Village with foreign donors, VIP executives and diplomats. She continues to raise awareness for the non-profit’s mission through donation-based events in South Florida. Every April, she holds a yoga class to raise awareness about genocide and to fundraise for Agahozo-Shalom.

Sam will be leading a tour to Rwanda in 2024.

Yoga at the Kampong with Sam

Sam works with several non-profits in the areas of conservation, food education, and homelessness.

Sam has always had a love for nature and wildlife. Her time living on a wildlife reserve in South Africa for three weeks depend her appreciation for nature. She holds yoga classes at the Kampong Botanical Garden to promote conservation.

Education is one of the keys to empowered living. Sam believes in holistic education and supports non-profits like the Chapman Partnership in Miami to collect supplies and provide on-site wellness trainings through her events platform, Cafe Namaste.™

Sam went to Colombia in 2019 with the XOL Foundation to provide a self-love + yoga workshop to the coffee growing community in Caldas.
